The Winery Team

Debra Becker
Debra Becker
Owner
Debra and her partner Eric live at the Lost Valley Ranch farm and vineyard, Cordero Vineyards. She is Owner of Lost Valley Ranch Wines, established in 2023. She earned her Winemaking Certificate from UC Davis and works as overall vintner and manager of LVR Wines.

She comes from a long career in sustainable architecture and has applied that experience and passion to agriculture and wine making. When she is not making or managing the wine, she can be found outside at the ranch in her element, picking wildflowers, petting fluffy friends or wrangling mowing equipment.
Ivan Burdinskyi
Ivan Burdinskyi
Consulting Winemaker
Ivan comes from a country with over 2,500 years of wine production. He brings this history and his experience to bear as a consulting winemaker for Lost Valley Ranch Wines. He earned his degree from Crimean Agrotech University and his chops working at all scales of vineyards and wineries across Ukraine, Switzerland, Germany, Moldova, Italy, and now Napa Valley.

He found his way to Napa in the fall of 2022 thanks to the Napa Valley to Ukraine organization. When not found making, bottling, or consuming wine, he can be found geeking out on wine equipment and enjoying music.
Pina
Pina
Vineyard Management
Pina has been onsite for over a decade at Cordero Vineyards. They took over management of 15 acres, have developed 9 more, and are currently developing 1 acre of dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon. Johnnie White and Justin Leigon are managing partners at Pina, a family company that has been farming the valley for over 50 years.
Ramiro Herrera
Ramiro Herrera
Master Cooper
It was his passion for working with wood that guided Ramiro Herrera’s career path in becoming a Master Cooper. He trained in France in the age-old tradition of hand crafting barrels. His passion for wood and wine is infectious, exuding all that he does. We have had the good fortune of partnering with him since 2022 for our custom French oak barrels.
Furry Friends
Furry Friends
Everyone has a job at the ranch. Blanco, the cellar cat is responsible for entertaining guests, terrorizing rodents, and being adorable.

The seasonal sheep and llama that visit the ranch perform rotational grazing each spring. Napa Pasture Protein brings the "mowers" in the vineyards before bud break and on the surrounding hillsides. They add carbon into the soil and keep the area free of tall grass.

Cattle from the Lauritsen Ranch are also brought on property from Spring - Fall to further mitigate wildfire risk and amp up the ranch’s cute factor.

Our Vineyards

Lost Valley Ranch’s first vineyards were planted in 2009 as Cordero Vineyards. Cordero is Spanish for Lamb, the family that established and manage the vineyards. With elevations of 500’ to over 800’, the land is perfectly suited to grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot to Sauvignon Blanc, vines that thrive in the Napa Valley climate. For more than a decade, the Lamb family has worked to build the vineyard and its surrounding land into the property you see today.
